Omni Nano Founder Honored at Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards

Omni Nano’s Executive Director, Dr. Marco Curreli, was nominated for the Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award at the 5th annual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

These awards are organized by the Los Angeles Business Journal to recognize professionals and organizations that continue to make a positive impact on the community under difficult financial constraints.

“There are over 30,000 non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles Area, and it was a great honor to be recognized by an authority such as the LA Biz Journal for my work at Omni Nano,” Dr. Curreli commented.

“To be part of such a selected community of nominees give me the stimulus to continue on the path I took when I founded Omni Nano. It is important for us to educate our youth in modern science, preparing them for the future. The support we have received has allowed us to grow our programs and continue to inspire more students each year” Dr. Curreli concluded.

The event was generously sponsored by Wells Fargo and Edison International. We were impressed with Wells Fargo’s commitment to corporate citizenship, as they gave each winning nonprofit organization a small grant. We want to say congratulations to all the winners; its fantastic to be in a community with others who give back.
