Omni Nano Kicks Off a Week in D.C. with Nanotech Workshops
With the 15th Annual NanoBCA Roundtable and the White House Forum on Small Business Challenges to Commercializing Nanotechnology all happening in Washington D.C. this week, Omni Nano’s founder Dr. Marco Curreli made the most out of his trip by scheduling local workshops.
First stop: two workshops (60 and 90 minutes) for 60 Engineering students and educators at the Chantilly STEM Academy in Chantilly, Virginia, in the Washington D.C. metro area, providing them with the information on the importance and applications of nanotechnology.
The hosting teacher was engaged and impressed:
“Dr. Marco delivers a very engaging discussion on how nanotechnology is poised to dramatically change our society, and challenges students to learn STEM so they can be part of that change.”
“My favorite thing was how you showed us multiple videos of real-life applications of nanotechnology. It really opened my awareness of how it can be prevalent in the future.”
“I was very inspired and excited to learn about nanotechnology and the problems out there waiting to be solved!”
“I love the the fact that he brought the in-class experiment and also gave some background knowledge about himself; that way we knew who we were listening to. Also I really liked the diagrams that he used; they really conveyed his points.”
