Omni Nano Attends 15th Annual NanoBCA Roundtable in D.C.
Omni Nano participated to the 15th Annual NanoBCA Roundtable in Washington D.C. on May 19-20, 2015. We attended to represent K-12 education at this gathering of the nanotechnology community.
“This is the second year we participated in the Roundtable. I have always been impressed by the updates and enthusiasm of fellow professionals in the nanotech industry who present at this event,” Executive Director, Dr. Curreli, commented.
“We shared the table with the inventors and manufacturers of the nanotechnology products I show my students during workshops and classroom lectures.”
He also added: “This was a great opportunity for Omni Nano to network with the key players in nanotech, ranging from government agencies to leaders in nanomaterial manufacturing to executives of nanotech commercial companies to representatives of various nano initiatives.”
We were happy to lend our support by assisting NanoBCA staff in managing the event.
What was the event? This event was organized by the NanoBusiness Commercialization Association (NanoBCA), an event that has been going on since 2002, where the nanotech community meets with government officials in regards to the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI). There were opportunities to meet with representatives from the Legislative Branch and from the Executive Branch. We met with representatives from NNCO, OSTP, NSF and other agencies participating in the funding of the NNI.
